We are proud to announce that we served as the supplier of a ready-made joint-stock company for a prominent agro-company, specifically SANAGRO a.s., which is owned by the investment firm Sandberg Capital. We provided our ready-made joint-stock company sales services to SANAGRO in connection with a new project for the construction of an additional breeding facility and enclosure, intended for raising chickens and producing free-range eggs.
„We plan to launch conventional production at the turn of 2022 and 2023. We will raise up to 37,000 laying hens, and we plan to produce 1 million eggs per month,“ adds Tomáš Kohút – CEO of the SANAGRO group.
The company draws on its experience with a small-scale farm of 250 free-range hens in Sobotište. They started the farm two years ago, and the sale of eggs to end consumers was successful.
“We view the construction of the new facility and enclosure for laying hens as an opportunity that complements our efforts to supply consumers with high-quality Slovak food products,“ T. Kohút concludes.
In recent years, SANAGRO has invested in several farms in Slovakia. They also launched agricultural production – growing onions, potatoes, carrots, and sugar beet. They also acquired a farm in Liptov that produces dairy products. Currently, they own 11 farms, employ 300 people, and cultivate over 19,000 hectares of land. They have been operating in the market since 2012.
